Got More Month Than Money?

My husband would always use the pocket calendar method. He did it for years. On the calendar, he would track our paydays and the amounts that were deposited. He would also put in there every single time he gave money to ANYBODY--for our bills, to our children, to me, for a night out, etc.  He knew where every single dollar went.  It’s just that simple to start budgeting. A 12-month calendar; you can get them in the dollar bin if you’re willing to wait until the middle of January. But every time we owe someone money, it was reflected there. And I would follow up and put it on a spreadsheet so that we had it in multiple locations. It helped us keep track of our income and expenses.  Find what's right for you.

Find a system that works for you,

It's extremely important to find a type of system that works well for you, especially when working your way out of debt. Stop living above our means and setup a  payment plan to get it ALL paid off.  Having the experience of being debt free is an important factor to keep your focus on the goals and to keep you motivated.

Try and Save a Month for Bills, just
to stay ahead.

  •  Get a one month buffer in your checking account. This isn’t easy, but it frees you up so much. Never again to you have to play the “can I pay this bill and keep my balance above zero” game.
  • Set all bills to be due on the same day of the month. If that is too scary, pick 2 days in a month, and spread your bills to those two days.
  • Set up auto-bill pay for bills with fixed amounts. (optional)This system means you only have to spend time and  think about bills one day a month.

Step One: Decide What You Want to Do
Step Two: Write it Down
Step Three: Just Do it!!
Simple  and easy, right?

Financial Wellness

  1. Most people with bad credit are not irresponsible, nor are they unwilling to pay their obligations. In fact, if you’re like most people, you probably maintained a good credit profile until an unforeseen circumstance like a layoff, medical problem, or divorce prevented you from making a few payments in a timely manner.
    Life Happens
Keep yourself, your family and your financial assets protected with the FES Protection Plan.
  2. Nearly 80% of credit reports contain inaccuracies or erroneous accounts. Your credit score is a major factor in any of your large financial investments. There is no room for error, yet 8 out of 10 people are losing out on their hard earned money because of these mistakes!
Do you know what's on your credit reports?
Your credit score is bad but you want: a home, car, insurances, credit cards, applying for a job and more....
  3. It's also used to determine your interest rate, the amount of your down payment and the variety of mortgage types available to you if you're buying a house, your ability to get a car loan, the premium on your auto or homeowner's insurance, and even your ability to get a job.
    Credit Score affects your life.
Over 3/4's of all lenders use credit scores when approving loans or credit. The importance of your credit score doesn't end there.
  4. it is important that the information your credit report contains be as accurate and up-to-date as possible. Millions of inaccurate items have been removed from consumers' credit reports since the Fair Credit Reporting Act was passed in 1971.
Because your financial health revolves around your credit score:
Why shouldn't YOU join them and start saving money right now?
